Miles Fisher’s American Psycho Take on the Talking Heads

Miles Fisher is an actor who has had minor roles in films like Gods and Generals and guest spots on television shows like Gossip Girl and Mad Men. Additionally, he’s trying to start a music career. He’s released a free EP that features a indietronic cover of the classic Talking Heads track “This Must Be The Place.”

The song itself is well done, but the music video is inspired. In the video, Fisher channels Christian Bale’s Patrick Bateman in a tribute to American Psycho. There are so many things that the video does right. The look of the film is replicated nicely and the way the video plays off of the lyrics is perfect. Check out for instance how Fisher presses play on his Walkman just as the “normal” vocals kick in, or how he gives cash to a prostitute as he sings “Never for money, always for love.” It doesn’t hurt that Fisher bares an uncanny resemblance to Bale.

Warning: Video is a little bit NSFW.
