Don’t Text At The Movies

If you’ve ever been to Austin, Texas you know that the Alamo Drafthouse is one of the best movie theaters in the world. Perhaps why it has that distinction is because it has a strict no talking/no texting policy. One patron of the Drafthouse seemed to think that the rules didn’t apply to her and after she received two warnings she was thrown out of the theater for texting during the movie.
Well, this special woman called the Alamo Drafthouse and left a voice mail rant about how she was treated. The Drafthouse responded to her rant by turning it into a special “don’t talk or text” PSA that will appear before R-rated films this weekend. As Alamo Drafthouse founder Tim League says “Ma’am, you may be free to text in all the other theaters in the Magnited States of America, but here at our “little crappy ass theater,” you are not. Why you may ask? Well, we actually do give a f*$k.” Check out the decidedly NSFW message here:
