Paolo Rivera’s Classic Captain America Poster

The cover to the first issue of the Captain America comic book features our hero punching Hitler in the face, and this was a year before the U. S. entered the war! With the impending release of the film Captain America: The First Avenger,  Marvel Comics asked artist Paolo Rivera to create a 1940s style movie poster as a special treat for the film’s cast and crew. Naturally, when Rivera made the poster he had to include a tribute to the comic’s iconic first cover. Enjoy the poster and go celebrate America’s Independence Day with the blog “Hitler Getting Punched.”
