Queen “Let Me Entertain You”

Queen’s over the top sensibility, art school style and and operatic ambitions often made them Public Enemy # 1 for the punk rock movement. Well, in 1978 Queen released the album Jazz which featured what may be the heaviest track track in their whole repertoire, the record industry/prostitution rocker “Let Me Entertain You.” The song features Freddie Mercury at his fiercest and great guitar work from Brian May that matches the punk fury of Johnny Ramone and the Sex Pistols’ Steve Jones. Mercury’s lyrics are particularly delicious on this song, including phrases as “I’ll Cruella De Vil you.”
