Toy Anatomy

What would you find on the inside of a toy? Probably some stuffing, plastic bits, strings and springs. Now,what if these toys had realistic bones and organs? Sculptor Jason Freeney wondered the same thing and decided to make these toy innards. Freeney carefully cut open several different iconic toys and then inserted a specially built skeleton to create a unique three dimensional cross-section. Freeney’s works so far include Super Mario, a cupie doll and one of the three-eyed aliens from Toy Story. Interestingly, Freeney may be the first artist to give Hello Kitty a mouth.
