What’s Inside Tom Waits?

Singer-songwriter Tom Waits is famous for unique voice. Waits’ rasp can best be described as sounding like burnt roadkill, soaked in whiskey and covered in gravel, and that’s what makes him awesome. But how does Waits achieve his signature sound? Well, UK artist Jimmy Lockey has a theory which he’s illustrated here.
